A 10ft trampoline would be a good fit for jumpers ages 6-12. This will depend on the size of the jumpers and their goals with a trampoline. The great thing about Springfree’s 10 ft Round Trampoline is it provides the equivalent jump space of a 12 ft traditional (spring-based) trampoline. This is because the springs and steel frame take off around 2 ft of jump space on traditional trampolines. Since Springfree Trampolines use rods instead of springs, you get more room to bounce!
Even though it’s only 2 ft of difference, a 10 ft and 12 ft trampoline can differ quite a bit from each other. A 12 ft trampoline will have more room to jump than a 10 ft trampoline but will also take up more space in your backyard. If your family wants a long-term trampoline, it’s best to buy a bigger size. That way it will be able to grow with your child, instead of your child growing out of it. Springfree’s Large Square Trampoline (11 ft) would be a good in-between option.
*We always recommend a one-jumper-at-a-time rule. Most trampoline injuries occur with multiple children jumping at the same time. If you allow multiple kids to jump on a 10 ft trampoline, you might fit 2-3 kids depending on the trampoline’s weight limit and users’ weight. If you want a trampoline for multiple kids, it may be worth it to buy a trampoline that is 14 ft or more in diameter.
The space you need for a 10 ft trampoline will differ depending on your manufacturer’s recommendations. Space requirements will account for the trampoline’s frame-to-frame dimensions and additional clearance space. For the Springfree Medium Round Trampoline, you will need 20 ft x 20 ft of room, including clearance space.
